The Rajasthan State Amateur (Under-2300) FIDE Rated Chess Championship 2026 is currently taking place at the Subodh College campus in Jaipur. The event, organized by the Jaipur District Chess Association (JDCA), also serves as a selection trial (open and women’s sections) to choose players for the state team. The tournament is being overseen by RCA Observer Mahendra Agrawal and Micro Observer Amit Gupta.

The ceremony was attended by notable officials including JDCA President Asha Bhargava, Secretary Jayendra Chaturvedi, Treasurer Madhu Mehta, and Organising Committee Chairman Ashok Bhargava, who motivated the participants.

  • Siddhant Chaturvedi (Jaipur) defeated Naik Arjun (Jaipur).
  • Rishen Jilawa (Jaipur) recorded a win against Amit Bhargava (Jaipur).
  • Aditya Dhyani (Jaipur) caused an upset by beating Kavyansh Jain (Jaipur).
  • Ayush Jain (Udaipur) secured victory over Shreshta Jain (Jaipur).
  • The top board clash between Rudra Kavia (Jaipur) and Vikramaditya Mukheja (Jaipur) ended in a draw.

After four exciting rounds, five players are tied for the lead with perfect scores of 4/4:

• Aditya Dhyani (Jaipur)
• Ayush Jain (Udaipur)
• Veer Kumar (Jaipur)

In addition, several other contenders are close behind with strong scores of 3.5 points.

The championship features more than 200 players from 18 districts of Rajasthan, making it a highly competitive and thrilling event to watch.
